Fear and Love presented eleven newly commissioned installations by some of the most innovative and thought-provoking practitioners, both emerging and established, working today in design, architecture and fashion. The works explored a spectrum of issues that define our time, including networked sexuality, sentient robots, slow fashion and settled nomads.
The exhibition showed how design today is moving beyond commerce and culture to address and question urgent political, social and environmental issues – issues that inspire fear and love to be created and experienced. This multidisciplinary and global exhibition which opened the new Design Museum in Kensington, London, aimed to capture the mood of the present while encouraging visitors to engage with them through immersive experiences. More info here.
The exhibition was accompanied by a book edited by Gonzalo Herrero Delicado and Justin McGuirk published by Phaidon.
